A Bit On Our Founder's Personal Beliefs

A Short Note From Chason

Originally on the footer of every page:
."I am a proud servant of Jesus and my heart's greatest desire is to live for His everlasting renown."

Now that Gardenality, Inc. is a public company, I was pondering whether or not to include this statement in the footer of the site. When it used to be a private company, I never thought twice about it and sharing something that is very much a part of who I am and what I truly love, or try to love. But now that Gardenality, Inc. is an official public charity I was in a bit of a pickle. On one hand, it seems liked a betrayal to remove it, like denying Christ. I decided ultimately to move it to my own bio page. It is interesting an interesting statement. I received a lot of messages thanking me for putting it there. At one trade show, they called us the guys with the Christian stuff in our footer. I also got a lot of hateful messages. One stick's out in particular.

"Why do you christians have to go around spewing your beliefs on everyone and everything, everyday[sic]"

I guess I made an impact. It can be really hard sitting behind a computer every day and feeling isolated, like your life doesn't matter. But through technology, I can reach millions and millions from this small room without any windows. I hope this site and its message reaches you. I also want to tell those who feel offended by someone who believes in Jesus. Jesus told me to not judge the world but to love one another. To me, it does not matter if what you believe, your lifestyle, who you love, even who you hate; it is just my job to love, and never to kick God off his Throne to judge any of His creations. One of the reason I love nature so much is because it is something that we can all experience and benefit from collectively. God made that possible, that is my belief.

But the Gardenality Team is well rounded in the area of beliefs. Our resident Ph.D., Nikki Sawyer has different beliefs than me and you know what, that's okay. God has a plan for this world and I'll stand by Him to see unfold. So let's love nature, save nature, love the earth: whether you think it is His creation or not or whether or not you think someone who love God can't also love, protect, and serve His creation: this world!

Now that we ask people from all around the world for money and even some governments, I felt it important to respect my personal beliefs while at the same time not excluding anyone who may not share them. It is a shame that beliefs are so divisive and cause so much hate. But these are my personal beliefs and I felt I owed it to those who have been around for the last several years to give a quick explanation. I hope this is right and just and doesn't offend anyone, for that's not my goal. If you want to judge Gardenality or me, judge it by it and by me. Don't judge me by other organizations that have Christian founders or by other Christians. Private message and let's talk. At the end of the day, I love this planet and I love things that grow. I love to create, not destroy.

I’m not ashamed to tell the world how much I love Jesus. He is all sorts of awesome and the only genuine pursuit of a life time. Gardenality and every other project He works through me to create is for His everlasting glory.

“The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the WORD of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8

Gardenality fits in this verse really well. We can spend an entire lifetime worried with grass and flowers, but the word of God will last forever and forever is longer than you and me and our grass and flowers.

“Lord we love to obey your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.” Isaiah 26:8

That’s what Gardenality and every other thing God lets me do is for, not my glory or the gaze of humans, but the glory of God. All these talents and abilities are not mine, they are simply on loan from God – I guess Limbaugh has it right!

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15: 5
