Nicknamed Chason by his parents, yet born Charles Arthur Wetter IV, Chason has never had a shortage of names. After some radical life changing events he has officially decided on simply being called Chason Arthur. Chason has always been a little different. He describes himself as a mix between Baby Kermit, Baby Fozzie, and Baby Gonzo - yes, Chason fancies the Muppet Babies.
Chason’s Start
Chason began his path to geekdom when he dropped out of homeskooling at the age of 14 and moved out of his parent's house taking residence on a futon as an intern at a local .com start-up. Chason worked and slept anything and everything internet and was slowly molded into geekzilla. The owners of the .com taught Chason a great deal and he was quick to retain and expound upon everything he learned. Starting as a graphic designer focusing primarily on user interface design, he was quickly transitioned into a leadership role. Given the title VP of Development, Chason managed a dozen or so designers, programmers, and marketers.
After the .com bubble burst and the start-up began to downsize, Chason took this opportunity to start a development firm along side the amazing Josh Letourneau. Together Josh and Chason quickly found success in developing out-of-the-box marketing and technology solutions. After several years Josh began to pursue his MBA while Chason taught himself how to program.
Dot Designers Was Born
Chason created his own company, Dot Designers, in 2005 who's niche is helping companies and organizations achieve success through innovative marketing solutions and custom programming and database development. Focusing on quality rather than quantity, Dot Designers has risen to be a specialized development firm able to create innovative solutions that redefine the box entirely.
When first starting to program his C sharp was more of a D flat but Chason has always had a knack for not giving up easily. Quickly learning how to do what needed to be done, within a few years he discovered there wasn’t much that couldn’t accomplish since he had learned how to learn.
Now able to program in .NET and LAMP, Chason has leaned on all of these languages as well as his capability for architectural modeling, the basics like good user interface design (well mostly good), HTML, CSS and the awesome JavaScript which makes possible the quickness of Gardenality.
No “I” in Team
There is a ‘me’ - sort of – hehe - just kidding!
The Gardenality Team has been an excellent environment for Chason to apply his talents in the direction of establishing a never-before-seen online gardening community web site. Looking forward to continuing to take his talents to the limit, Chason is anxiously awaiting the response to Gardenality and will be continually making it better and better!
The Reason For It All
A Personal Note From Chason
I figured I wouldn’t write this in the third person, that’s weirder than I am…
I’m not ashamed to tell the world how much I love Jesus. He is all sorts of awesome and the only genuine pursuit of a life time. Gardenality and every other project He works through me to create is for His everlasting glory.
“The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the WORD of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8
Gardenality fits in this verse really well. We can spend an entire lifetime worried with grass and flowers, but the word of God will last forever and forever is longer than you and me and our grass and flowers.
“Lord we love to obey your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.” Isaiah 26:8
That’s what Gardenality and every other thing God lets me do is for, not my glory or the gaze of humans, but the glory of God. All these talents and abilities are not mine, they are simply on loan from God – I guess Limbaugh has it right!
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15: 5
My life is about Jesus and the one true God. Pluralism falls apart in the wake of the things Jesus said. The Bible is real, Jesus is real, and it is up to each of us to get our lives on board! I’m sorry if this offends you, Jesus says not everyone will like me if I like Him. I don’t want to offend you, I want everyone I meet to learn how Jesus lets you live fully alive. I would not be writing this today if it wasn’t for the saving power of Christ. It’s real folks, He is not dead, He is alive!
No matter what you might believe, you do know that everyone will surely die but also know that not everyone will truly live. This is who I am for I AM and I’m not ashamed! My prayer is that my life carries this belief with the respect it deserves. God is awesome and I’m eternally grateful He chose me to glorify His name with my quickly fading breath until he finally let’s me check out!
