Insects

Find and share information and answers about insects; both beneficial and nonbeneficial insects.

In the grand scheme of things, most insects are beneficial in one way or another in nature. As man began growing crops, and gardens and ornamentals at home, he found that certain insects compete with him for food on these plants, and therefore these competitors have been deemed as "pests." However, there are many insects that prey on, parasitize, or chase away these pest insects, these are the ones we call “beneficial insects”. For those who know how to attract these beneficial insects to their garden, the use of toxic pesticides, which kill both pest insects and beneficial insects, can be totally eliminated or kept to a minimum.

In Gardenality Insects, anyone from the novice to the professional expert can find and share information and answers to learn more about various types of insects.
