About Bird & Butterfly Garden:
I converted an existing planting along our property line into a mixed shrub border, 45 ' long x 12'wide. For the past 4 years, I heaped grass clippings, leaves, yard waste, mulch & compost on top of the bed. The existing shrubs are doing beautifully & a bird planted a surprise cherry tree, which has enhanced the border. The soil is golden & this season, I want to incorporate self sowing flowers that attract birds & butterflies. Researching & designing the planting is half the fun!
