Garden For Life with Jason Magistro

The mission of Garden For Life is to strive towards building the bridge between gardening, horticulture and the psychological and physical balance.

Edible landscapes start in the vegetable garden...but they needn’t end there.

Jason Magistro helps others explore how through both the vegetable garden and selecting edibles as landscape trees, shrubs, annuals and other herbaceous plants can feed the family year round.

Whether conducting seminars as a speaker or performing on-site real-time workshops, Jason Magistro can demonstrate to your group how both vegetable garden and landscape plant selections will provide you with not only a residual supply of food for your table but also a colorful, flavorful landscape. Jason enlighten others as to how edible gardening and landscaping can lead to healthier eating and and better overall physical, mental and emotional health, and how growing, harvesting, and preparing food from your landscape and garden are wonderful family and community experiences.

During seminars or workshops, Jason will talk about and demonstrate the best practices and techniques to organically enrich the soil and foster biological diversity. He explores the elements of an edible landscape and discusses criteria for selecting edibles. He will also talk about ways to eat your landscape and to preserve your harvest as well as the mental, emotional and physiological benefits from growing and consuming your own food.
