Grown for over 100 years by the Roberie family in St Landry Parish, Louisiana. Roberie Okra produces medium-sized green pods that are productive over a long growing season. (60 days)
Planting Instructions:
Soaking seeds for 24 hours before planting greatly improves germination. Direct-seed when soil is warm (2 weeks after last frost date). May also start in containers 2 to 4 weeks before setting out.
Plants thrive in rich, moist soil in full sun, but often do surprisingly well in dry or poor soils. Harvest daily during hot weather — pods grow quickly past the stage of prime eating.
