The horizontal, gracefully ascending branches that droop at the ends, and the feathery, thread-like foliage adds a soft texture and nice contrast in the landscape. Useful planted in mass as a fast-growing groundcover on slopes and embankments, as a border or stand alone specimen in landscape beds and islands. Also is useful as a colorful accent in foundation plantings. Can be grown natural as an informal hedge, or can be trimmed into a hardy, more formal hedge. Easy to grow and very low maintenance when left to grow natural. Tolerates a variety of soils so long as they are well-drained. Best color in full sun.
