I have always been known to have a "black thumb". I have somehow managed to kill everything from annuals to succulants and cacti, to beautiful orchids and tomato plants. One day my "green-thumbed" mother-in-law gave me some Lavender and a small purple Iris to plant. To my absolute amazment, I was seeing beautiful greens and purples! I was hooked to gardening ever since!
