Answer #1 · Chason Arthur's Answer · If you want your sandy soil to retain more moisture you can mix in peat moss when planting. Peat moss holds 9 times its weight in water. There are also water-retaining products such as Soil Moist that will hold water in quick draining soil in landscape beds or container plantings.)
