Hello,

I want to build a greenhouse. I put mulch on top of sold, then I want to use flagstones on top of the mulch. Should I put a sheet of landscape plastic between the soil and the mulch?

Answer #1 · Jim Parks's Answer · I am in zone 7b/8a and have had my greenhouse for 3 years. I have a concrete footer and an 10x12 prefab greenhouse on that. for the floor I just have 2 - 3 inches of crushed stone over the clay soil, no mulch, no plastic, no landscape cloth. Have had no problems with weeds coming up thru the stone. I like the crushed stone because I can wet it down on hot days to increase humidity.
