I'm not sure if what is digging all these tunnels in my lawn are gohpers or moles but I know I need to get rid of them before my yard is destroyed. How do I get rid of these creatures?

Answer #1 · Chason Arthur's Answer · Years ago I used to kill moles by putting a product called 'Poison Peanuts' in their tunnels. But these days, I love animals too much to do that.
Personally, I have nothing against these animals. They're actually pretty cute. But gophers can create so much damage to your lawn, plants and anything else that happens to be in the ground.
So even though they are cute little critters, most people find that they have to come up with some way of getting rid of them. These days, I'd opt for traps. When you catch one just take and release it in a large natural field somewhere. Before you can turn around to leave, it'll already be burrowing a tunnel.)

Would Moth Balls help deter without harm? Nevermind, not really a good solution.

I use to think they were cute little critters until they started eating all the roots from my plants in my flower garden. And of course, they had expensive taste and ate all the nice ones. My garden has bare spots from the plants they have gotten. My husband and I got the 'poison peanuts' and it's working. I also heard spearmint gum would take care of them.
