Answer #1 · Brooks Wilson's Answer · Looks like it may be aphids. My close up vision isn't too good. Have you sprayed the rose bush yet? If not, you may want to spray with Malathion or Neem Oil. Malathion kills almost all insects. Neem Oil is an organic triple action product. It kills most insects, including aphids, fungus, and mites. Neem oil is safer to use and does more than just kill insects, so I usually try it first. If Neem Oil fails, the Malathion should do the trick.)

I hit it with Malathion yesterday, I had the sprayer loaded because I have aphids on my crape myrtle.

I will have to look into Neem Oil, I see it referenced a lot and I hate pumping all these chems all around the yard.
