Are Lavender And Heather Good Companion Plants?

Would lavender and heather do well if planted next to each other?

Answer #1 · Brooks Wilson's Answer · I'm sure they would grow well next to eachother, however, they are similar in color. If you are creating a lavender/purple garden it's all good.)

Answer #2 · Brent Wilson's Answer · If you're referring to Mexican Heather and Lavender (Lavendula) I don't see why not. Like Brooks said, they both bloom different shades of purple, and I would add that one has tiny dark green foliage while the other has grey foliage, so the contrast in colors and textures would be nice. The Mexican Heather isn't really that hardy in Zone 8 while many varieties of Lavender are.)
