In islands you will need to spray Glysophate, better known as Round-up or Killz-All. Killz-All is less expensive.
In the Bermuda, Zoysia, or Fescue lawn you can use a lawn weed killer containing 2-4-d. A few good brands are Fertilome Weed-Out Lawn Weed Killer or Greenlight Wipe-Out Lawn Weed Killer2.
In Centipede grass most weeds can be killed by applying Atrazine. Atrazine comes in liquid form or granular Weed & Feed. Hi-Yield Liquid Atrazine is a good one, or Pennington Centipede Lawn Weed & Feed Granules.
The easiest way to deal with weeds is to prevent them. There are many Lawn Weed Pre-Emergent products that will kill weed seeds upon germination. Granular products are easy to apply. Team 2-G and Barricade are the two products we offer at our nursery. We have a Do-it-Yourself program that consists of four applications.
