How To Plant A Mimosa Tree From Seed

I have some seed pods from a Mimosa could you tell me what steps to take using the seeds to grow a Mimosa tree?

Answer #1 · Sunny Randazzo's Answer · Mimosa seeds have a tough outer coating. Nick the seed slightly, then soak in water for two or three days. Plant in a small pot with good potting soil and keep moist, and in indirect light. The seed should germinate in about four weeks. Plant outside in spring, after last frost. It will do better in the hot South with some shade after 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. In more Northern climates, it should do fine in direct sun. Good luck!)
