Answer #1 · Chason Arthur's Answer · Most butterflies sip on nectar from flowers but there are a few that feed on tree sap or rotting organic material. So, if you want to attract butterflies to your yard plant lots of flowers...particularly flowers that have tube-shaped flowers and are known to produce nectar. The flowers produced by Butterfly Bush, Butterfly weed and Lantanas are great sources of nectar and will attract flocks of butterflies to your garden.)
