How To Keep Carrots Fresh In The Refrigerator

What is the best way to keep carrots crisp once you have pulled them up? If I pull up some carrots and put them in the refrigerator, they turn limp.

Good question. If you are leaving the greens on top you should cut them off and store them separately. Otherwise they'll sap energy from the carrots (roots). When you store them in the fridge do so in a covered container filled with water. Doing this should keep them fresh a lot longer.
