This ground cover (or perhaps self seeding plant) was given to me by a neighbor. It is amazingly drought tolerant. They stand about 2 ft high. These wonderful floret spikes appear in June that gracefully cascade downward. Anyone? …Anyone? …Beuller? …Beuller?
Answer #2 · Stephen Whatley's Answer · After further research, Brooks and I have determined it to be Lysimachia Clethroides. A beautiful addition to any landscape! Thanks for the question and please feel free to contact Gardenality with any further questions.)
I just searched the name in Google and clicked on images and there it was. AKA Gooseneck Loosestrife.
Write ups say it prefers moist, rich, humus soil and this sample was plucked from a prolific sea of it growing in the hardest, driest Georgia clay. It is really beautiful.
Answer #1 · Brooks Wilson's Answer · It kinda looks like a Phlox Paniculata. The arching bloom has me puzzled. I'll keep researching to see if I can find out what it is for sure.
